encouragement & empowerment for creatives
There’s a special power to choosing yourself as a creative, a freedom and empowerment to believing in your creative dream.
But if that’s true, why do we face so much resistance around our creative dreams? Why is it so difficult for us to put ourselves and/or our work out into the world? Or to believe the best for our creative futures?
I’ve been mulling over these questions a lot in the past few weeks, and I keep seeing them as a common thread among creatives. So I created this video to help!
In the video, I reflect on why we struggle to choose ourselves and our creative dreams. Why we question whether or not our dreams are “good,” “useful,” or “practical” enough.
But what if instead of asking if the opportunities we find are too good to be true, we chose ourselves, believed in ourselves, and put ourselves and our work forward?
I’m not saying that this process is easy, or that you won’t be scared. As creatives, we have to do a lot of self-work around our negative underlying beliefs and doubts.
But if you’ve been looking for some encouragement about your vision for your creative life and the projects you’d like to bring into the world, I hope this video helps. Your story matters. And the stories you want to share with the world are stories that only you can tell.
Happy creating!
