Azuria is not the first name of this world. And perhaps it will not be the last.
Long ago, before the flood, there was another world. Another world for another time.
Warfare marked this world, and flood waters destroyed it.
But before the great flood, before the waters rose, there was a time of heroes. Some of these heroes took the form of elemental champions, those sworn to the six titans, to enact their will upon the planes of life. Some of these champions served the Cities as well, those united in common cause against the dark goddess Alessandra, wielder of destruction and of light. But other champions worked outside the Cities’ will. And they were not alone in their elemental giftings.
It is said that in this world of war and death, there lived a phoenix. The phoenix was gifted with the power of the six elements combined, appointed to her in a sacred, secret ceremony held by the druids of Lis-Maen, in a conclave that is no more.
Legends and lore swirl around the phoenix and her legacy—the savior of the refugees of Beacon, the traitor of the Pentacle, the promised one who would see Alessandra’s demise. And, of course, the one reborn.
The technologies of Eldura have been lost to time: great ships that flew upon the air rather than floated across the waters, living metals that served as makeshift limbs for those in need, and everywhere, a connection to the elements, to living magic, the likes of which most who came after have never seen.
Some of the heroes who walked this land are now known to us: Marcon, Rowan, Quindythias, Yvayne, though these warriors were not known as heroes to all or even most in their time.
Legends of this world of Eldura are soon to be revealed; new stories wait to unfold before us. Through feather and flame, the search for a sacred tree, or the tale of a witch who wields the realm of spirit, these new adventures need only one brave enough and willing to begin.
